In the last 30 years, the number of people diagnosed and treated medically for asthma has increased by 60%. In the spring of 2010 SafeHouse decided to use some of the money we’ve earned through our contract award to begin also helping average homeowners and businesses in Northeast Ohio and surrounding areas BY PROVIDING FREE ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTATIONS on site.

Providing FREE Environmental consultations to people who suspect they have a problem also allows us to help educate the public. Many illnesses can be directly linked to toxins living on surfaces or in the air they are breathing indoors, their proximity to it and length of exposure. A variety of fungi, molds, bacteria and yeast, dust, pet dander, cat saliva, have all been linked to mysterious symptoms that traditional medicine can control but not eliminate because inevitably those affected are returning to the indoor environment(s) that caused the problem in the first place. 

A quick unscientific test suggested on EPA’s website to see if you, a child or co-worker are possibly suffering from “BRI” or Building Related Illness is to keep a diary of symptoms when at home or at work for a straight week, then go away for a straight week, or longer if you can and compare how you feel.
