WHAT IS:
Mitigation and Interim Control.
If there is visible water damage or mold,SafeHouse Environmental can provide economic solutions to Contain, Control and Remediate the problem. We use highly skilled specialists and proven technologies, treatment protocols, and successful strategies that are currently being used in our HUD grant, commercial, and residential service applications. This program consists of containment, control and removal of visually contaminated materials as well as the area’s that aren’t visible to the human eye, which can only effectively see objects greater than 40 microns. After we determine the extent of the invasion and professionally diagnose the types of Fungus/Mold that may be inhabiting your structure, we will then engineer the remediation procedures for our unique treatments. We will penetrate cracks, nooks and crannies throughout the home and then focus on the Indoor Air Quality and your Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system to stop, treat, eliminate, and prevent mold and bacteria from re-growth. Speed to the solution of interim control is critical. We WILL eliminate your need to spend thousands of dollars on a future remediation. The treatment WILL eliminate Mold, Spores and Mycotoxins, and prevent re-growth by creating a protective barrier against additional or future contamination, provided the source of the moisture is corrected.
Sanitization
This program offers the complete removal of airborne Molds, Bacteria, Viruses, Protozoa, Parasites (GERMS) and related odors, eliminating that nasty, musty and unsanitary feeling a property can have. All properties should be safe from pathogens, respiratory agitates, harmful Germs and Allergy and Asthma triggers.
Remediation
Once a property has become contaminated beyond the point of mitigation, SafeHouse Environmental can provide full remediation from Pre-Testing to Clearance. Some states require that we must do one or the other but not both. We will work with whoever you would like to screen their qualifications and ability to safely and effectively serve you. Including: remediation protocols, pre- testing, HEPA-Vac, air filtration, engineering controls, containment, and clearance. Our protocols, treatment processes, and strategies are all Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) approved, validated and coordinated with our staff members that have the appropriate training and certifications.

MYCOTOXINS
Mycotoxins produced by mold act as defense mechanism for the colony. These toxins and allergens are microscopic, light and easily blown around a room and home. Along with the spores these Mycotoxins land on vertical and horizontal surfaces that when we touch them cause severe and mysterious skin irritations. They also land on kitchen counters, getting into the food we eat and causing gastrointestinal illnesses which are mistaken as influenza. We breathe Mycotoxins into our bodies, they land on our soft pallet where they are swallowed and absorbed into our sinus cavities. Mycotoxins make their way into our lungs, and are carried into our bronchial sacks, where they inflame and fill with fluids, growing bigger and bigger leading to weakened lung conditions such as asthma, bronchitis and even worse pneumonia or hemorrhaging.
Mycotoxins can enter brain cells causing headaches, dizziness, the inability to focus and lack of concentration. If Mycotoxins find there way into the network of blood vessels and get inside an artery, they will effect functions related to the central nervous system.
Don’t needlessly leave yourself open to environmental threats and illness. Indoor air contaminants, including fungus, molds, bacteria, virus and diseases live in our homes and travel in the air and live on surfaces have been linked to over 40% of all illness in the US today. Because we spend 90% of our lives indoors, the degree of pollutants in our homes and other buildings like where we live, work and go to school, greatly determine our health. Inevitably the quality of the life we lead is determined by our ability to learn and contribute. If we don’t feel well it’s very difficult to do well. Indoor environmental toxins have been linked to the following:
- Severe allergies and skin irritations
- Asthma attacks
- Chronic respiratory problems
- Unexplained gastrointestinal distress
- Influenza’s and flu-like symptoms
- Headaches
- Inability to focus or concentrate
- Depression
- Weight gain and bloating
- Fatigue
- Urinary Tract Infections (UTI’s)
- Some cancers and heart problems like ARVD
- Infections are caused by compromised immune systems and are susceptible to bacteria’s like E-coli, Candida Albicans, Staphylococcus and MRSA, a flesh eating bacteria invading the United States today. Many people that contracted the H1N1 virus which were fatalities actually died from MRSA complications.
THE PROBLEM IS GROWING ANNUALLY
TODAY 24.6 MILLION AMERICANS SUFFER FROM ASTHMA.
In the last 30 years, the number of people diagnosed and treated medically for asthma has increased by 60%. It is believed that this increase has been influenced by several facts.
- Since the Oil Embargo in the 1970’s as part of a measure to conserve energy, most homes built after 1979 have tighter insulation wraps that do not balance humidity levels throughout the home; trapping moisture and humidity, smoke, odors, bacteria and fungus.
- Fungus sitting inside of walls if introduced to moisture or high levels of humidity either during construction of a home or building or as they age just from being lived in, can begin spreading throughout your home or building as fungal colonies.
Fungal colonies may lay dormant for many years but will begin to develop microscopic spores when exposed to moisture for any reason including leaks and flooding.
These spores create “Mycotoxins.”
Mycotoxins are the invisible spores which travel by way of the air inside a home or building which makes people very sick.
